It is well to known that men and women we can seem very different, but at the end surely those differences aren't so many.
First of all, generally both men and women we have the necessity to live in couple with anyone that loves us, values us and respects us.
Secondly, some of the differences could be, in the thing we think as "normal" relationships and no perverse (controlling, submissive, etc.), that the woman can look for a little more of protection, although each time less, and the man can assume more the role of protector.
In the issue related to the children normally the women have it as a priority and men postpone it more, also for biological matters, and they give more priority to the development in the theme of labour.
In the education of the children also there are differences between men and women, because the mother will use more her protector part and educate him more in values as the affection, the family, etc. and the father more in issues of physical strength, perseverance,...
As a result now, as I said before, all of these differences are each time less, at least at the western society, because these roles be exchanged with facility due to determinate labour or family circumstances.

Why do we love? A philosophical inquiry
http://ed.ted.com/lessons/why-do-we-love-a-philosophical-inquiry-skye-c-cleary
1.Discuss. Why do we love? It’s heart-breaking and complicated most of the times yet do we need it at all?
I think the human being has the intrinsic necessity to love and to be loved or accept and to be accepted because otherwise we would be anti-social people.
The feeling really durable and important in time is to love, because the love in itself is a temporal state that you live a few times in the life and not always is objective but rather platonic.
Many times can be an unrequited love and then if the person isn't very mature or balanced you can suffer a lot. But as I say, the people more prone to suffer are those they idealize it or they have a pathological dependence on to love and to be loved.
Platon
Schopenhauer
Russell
Siddhartha Gautama "Buddha"
Simone de Beauvoir
Platon: "Love makes us whole, again". He explored the idea that we love in order to become complete.
Schopenhauer: "Love tricks us into having babies". He maintained that loved based in sexual desire was a voluptuous illusion.
Russell: "Love is escape from our loneliness". He says that we loved in order to quench our physical and psychological desires.
Siddhartha Gautama "Buddha": "Love is a misleading affliction". He says that we love because we are trying to satisfy our base desires.
Simone de Beauvoir: "Love lets us reach beyond ourselves". She proposed that love is the desire to integrate with another and that it infuses our lives with meaning.

Does humor play an important role in life?
Our life will always be better with humor because if there isn't it, I think, life would be very sad and bored.
On the one hand, the humor can help you to exit difficult situations and hard moments in your life. For example, if someone fails an exam he will be sad probably, but if somebody makes him laughes he will forget the exam for a short or maybe for a long period of time, and that will help him to carry on with his life and forget the real life (the mark) for a determinate time .

On the other hand, if there isn't humor in our life all would be the same, the humor does the life different. For example, if someone has every time the same character, I think, his life will be very sad, monotonous, because the thing that does a person go on with his life is the change of personality (laugh, cry,...). It's very important to see the good things of the life and see it with other perspectives.
In conclusion, our life will be better with a person near to you with humor or if you makes laugh other people because you will laugh too. If someone has both things will be better. All is more easy with humor.

My personal opinion of "Graduation...now what?"
This psychologist that previously was math teacher arrived at the psychology thanks to her curiosity in value what was the things that did a person (student) be more brilliant that another one, as much in the studies, professional life, etc. According to her study she arrives at the conclusion that is not important the IQ, studies, etc., but the fundamental is the determination.
She defines the determination as fix a challenge and fight day by day, year by year to get it. Take things as an marathon and not as a sprint race.
I, personally, love the comparison that she does with the sport, because I think the life is a constant training and only meet his goals the people who never give up in spite of the tumbles (damages).

Final reflection 1st. Bach
1. Can you see an improvement on your level of English in the past year/s? Where, for example?
Yes. In my view, I have improved my English a little in all its forms. I started to speak better in English when I went to United Kingdom fifteen days with a particular teacher for me and talking all the day in English with her. Last year I worked in a hotel and in this place I spoke a lot of French and a little bit of English, I hope that this summer there are more english people for improve my English. In first bach we have worked a lot of things (oral presentations, readings, writings, etc.) but I want to speak better and have more fluency when I talk with english people.
2. Which activity best shows your level of English?
Presentations, I think. Because in presentations you explain a topic to other people and here you show your level of English and your fluency in this language.
3. Which activities were really USEFUL for you to improve your English? Why?
The readings, the writings, the listenings and the presentations. In all, you practice a lot the language and if you do all of them perfect, you can say that you know (speak, write, etc.) very well the English.
4. Which activities did you NOT find useful to learn English? Why not?
I think that all the activities are useful if always are in English, because there are a lot of forms to improve and practice your English, some better than other, obviously.
5. Which activities would like to do again next year to keep on improving your English?
Kahoot and watching more films. Kahoot is a new activity that we have discovered this year. In my point of view is an activity very useful and funny, where you play with other people and where you have to select the correct answer in a short period of time, when the time finish you can see the correct answer and see your mistakes, at the end of the kahoot win the person who have done less mistakes. Watching films in English for to improve this language always is good, because you listen the people and you learn new words, new pronunciations, etc.
Next year if it's possible I would like to get a new certificate (degree) of English, because in a lot of jobs they demand you for working, and it's important for the life.
Opinion essay
We don't agree with the sentence, because:
Firstly, referring to the sentence, actually there are a lot of people who continue polluting our planet, because they don't know the damage that they do to the environment. In many places around the world the people suffer from many diseases for live surrounded by garbage, toxic gases, polluted water and sometimes the water is stagnant for fault of oil that has been spilled at the sea, causing the death of many animals, plants and sometimes cause boat accidents, because oil is sticky and makes that the boat slip and can't be controlled.
Secondly, in the world there are still wars and dictatorships and these don't care about our planet, because wars wipe out many lives and entire countries, and dictatorships enslave a part of the population to consider them inferior to others.
Finally, we think that the polution has to finish in all it forms, because maybe one day the planet would be extinct cause a lot of pollution that we produce every day. During these latest years, the ice of the countries located in the poles is still melting and the sea levels rises, this fact can cause the flooding of some cities situated a few meters above sea level.
We found a solution that consist in to get the peace in the whole world and accept people as they are; make disappear the racial problems and cooperate together to reach to the maximum peace between citizens of differents nacionalities.
We suggest that a solution for this problem may be teaching people are throwing things into the environment (polluting), saying them that the bad things that they are doing to the environment and to the other people will hurt them in the future, and if they don't obey, punish them.

Frankenstein's questions
Should scientific research have limits? Ethics and Genetics.
I think that the scientific research hasn't limits, because while there is life there will new materials, new diseases and others discoveries and so, there will be it new researches scientific.
What is the relationship between human rationality and emotion?
In the human rationality you use your head for to do anything, you apply the reason without have consider your feelings, however in the emotion you guides you from your feelings, your emotions, you use your heart.
What is the role of the individual in relationship to society and the family?
That depends if you are a child, an adult or an ancient. For example, my role in relationship to society and the family is study for have a better future, do my homeworks in the school and at home, pay attention and listen to my parents, behave myself in the society and in the family, etc.
What are the consequences of judging by appearences only? That you don't meet the inside of the person, the character and the personality.
If you judge a person only by appearances you will probably have a very different image or not of the people, we usually judge the people only by the appearances and that is very bad. We have to judge the people by the appearances and especially by the character because maybe you thinks that one person has a bad appearance but maybe has a very good character.
Can you explore these dichotomies in the story?
mortality/immortality: Mortality, the people, friend, family of Frankenstein, etc. and Frankenstein that they died due to the monster and immortality, the monster, because it never died due to it speed, it size and because it was stealthy.
hero/villain: Hero, Frankenstein, because he created a monster and then he gave it life and for that he became famous. Villain, the monster, because it killed a lot of people and because he hadn't family.
reason/emotion: Reason, the monster, because it killed people for take revenge and emotion, Frankenstein, because he cried and he was very sad due to the deaths of members of his family and his friend.
individual/family/society: Individual, the monster, because he hadn't family and friends. Family, Frankenstein, because he had a family and society, all the people that they had family or usual people, humans, that they aren't monsters.
happiness/tragedy: Happiness, Frankenstein because at the beginning he had a family and friends, but tragedy when members of his family or his friend died. Tragedy, the monster, because for it the life hadn't meaning without friends and family, and happiness when it thought that it will have a wife.

Bill Gates
The person that I will describe is the famous and rich informatic Bill Gates.
He is interested in read a lot of books and also to play tennis. But principally his hobby is the computing.
He is plump. He is going grey, he is light-skinned, he is clean-shaven, his eyes are blue, he has some wrinkles because he's sixty years old. Also he wears a pair of black glasses and normally he wears suit with a tie.
He is a very intelligent person, sensible, sofisticate, generous, sympathetic, honest, responsible and very had-working. He is very generous and sympathetic because he has given part of his fortune to charitable organizations. Bill Gates is one of the most richest people of the world because he has made a big breakthrough in the technology, he created Microsoft. So, he is proud of his work.
I think that Bill gates is a person very important for the society because he has made a big breakthrough in the technology and now we can do things that before we couldn't.

What's your animal personality type?
ESFPs live in the moment and want to experience life at 100 mph. They are incredibly playful, generous, and optimistic. They love being social and having new experiences. Classroom learning is not their strong suit even though they are intelligent and creative— they would prefer to simply “go with the flow” and have a great time.
My animal personality type is an otter.

I feel identified with this animal, the otter, because I'm playful, generous and optimistic. Also I like to have new experiences because you learn with every new experience, although sometimes are bad, but if are good is better because you can enjoy. Is true that classroom learning isn't my strong, I prefer to do sports and do things about sports, but I know I'm intelligent. Lastly, of course, I prefer "go with the flow" and have a great time, always I have been well because is my way to live.

Tracy and Chee Seng
I think that the book (The best of times?) and the film (Thirteen) have their good and bad things. Both are very different but they have similar things. I will talk about the bad things, the drugs.
About the film: Tracy is a teenager, she is thirteen and she is a good student until Evie appears in her life. Evie is a teenager and she is thirteen too, but she has problems with her life in general: studies, friendships,... She smokes, she drinks, she consumes drugs, etc. Evie motivates to Tracy to smoke, to drink, to consume drugs,... and finally both doing the same bad things and harmful to themselves.
They will going to more until they knowing that they doing bad things and their life haven't sense in this manner.
About the book: Chee Seng is a teenager, he is sixteen and he lives with her mother in Malaysia.
On the final of the book, in a big party, a friend gives him pills to get excited for to dance with his girlfriend. His girlfriend also consumes a lot of pills and finally she has an accident in the pool of the home due to the pills.
The Che Seng's mother knows all that his son has done, and she wants to kill herself with pills. She doesn't die but she is in the hospital.
In the book and in the film, the drugs have the same final. They show us that the drugs are very bad and very unhealthy for all the people, teenagers and adults.
